The Emerald Shiner is the bait of choice for perch fishing on Lake Erie.
Coolers & Ice for Fish
We provide onboard coolers and ice to keep fish fresh while fishing.
For large groups we typically use the boat's large built-in fishbox. We do this so that our deck stays clear of clutter making it easier for everyone to move around freely.
For smaller groups we may use one of our medium size coolers to hold the day's catch. We do this as it is easier to keep a full cooler cold.
For perch, we use a special cooler that counts our catch as we toss it in. We do this as the fast action and liberal perch limits on Lake Erie make it difficult to manually keep a perch tally.
